Hello! My name is Catherine.
My journey with numbers, administrative systems, and media communications started decades ago, right alongside my passion for horses. I’ve worn almost every hat in the equestrian world—from riding school operator and barn manager to freelance instructor and schooling show judge—while keeping my feet firmly planted in the world of administrative support. I’ve worked in in small businesses, large corporations, post secondary education, a non-profit organization, and even in retail flooring sales. Here is a look at the milestones that shaped my hands-on experience and formal training, showing exactly how I became the specialist I am today.
1983
Early Training
Learned manual bookkeeping skills from an accountant, maintaining the accounts of a small landscaping business in the UK.
Jan 1985 Onward
Bookkeeping in Employment
Supported bookkeeping and administrative duties in multiple roles, leveraging decades of hands-on experience.
Sept 1994
Bookkeeping for Self
Learning Bookkeeping for Small Businesses was part of my Coaching & Stable Management Certification training through Kwantlen College. Of course, I maintained my own books as a freelance instructor and as a riding school operator, while also staying employed doing administrative support work.
August 2023
Formal Training Completed
Completed formal bookkeeping, payroll and personal tax return certifications through Fraser Valley Continuing Education and Sage 50 training through Simply Training to advance professional skills.
Less desk time. More time with the horses.
Trek with me to simplify your finances and reclaim your day with tailored bookkeeping and administrative solutions. As a solo specialist, I focus exclusively on financial organization and media support for horse businesses. I know firsthand how demanding running an equestrian facility is—and how quickly paperwork piles up when you are busy managing horses, clients, and property.
